Frequently Asked Questions About Scarecrow Row
- How do I register my business or organization for Scarecrow Row 2025?
Registration is now open! Click here to find out the different ways you can register for this exciting annual event! - What is the last date I can sponsor a scarecrow?
Registration opens April 1, 2025, and the last date to sponsor a scarecrow is August 22, 2025. Click here to see the rest of this year's dates. - In the past, I’ve noticed themed costumes with multiple businesses. One year there was Mario & Luigi, and another year there was Elsa, Anna, and Olaf. How does that work?
The matching themed scarecrows in years past were sponsored by businesses and organizations that reached out to other local businesses or organizations to partner! You can choose to match another scarecrow, too! Each business will need to sponsor their own scarecrow, and if there is a more particular theme you would like, you can purchase the costumes for our build team to put them together. - How do you decide where each scarecrow goes on Scarecrow Row?
Some scarecrows are strategically placed because they need additional support, but for the rest we use a random wheel generator. We put all of our sponsor names in, and then assign them a number as their name is picked! - Who builds the scarecrows?
Some sponsors choose to build their own, and some sponsors choose to pay a little extra towards their sponsorship to have our amazing all-volunteer Scarecrow Row Building Team build theirs! - Can I sponsor a scarecrow on behalf of my political campaign?
No. Even if your campaign or political race is non-partisan, it is our policy to not allow any campaigning on Scarecrow Row. - If I am running for political office, can I still sponsor a scarecrow?
Yes! We welcome supporting local organizations, non-profits, or businesses. However, you must sponsor as yourself and not on behalf of your political campaign. Your sign in front of the scarecrow, should you choose to request one, will only say “Sponsored by [your name]”. - Can my scarecrow have a prop? Yes. Our guidelines say your scarecrow and prop shall not exceed 5 feet wide or 2 feet deep. Please click here to review our other building guidelines!
