Join us on Thursdays at 5:00 pm to explore your community with a new route each week. Sign up to receive email notification of cancellation due to inclement weather. Thursday Walks are sponsored by the Troy Community Foundation.
November 7, 5pm: Borden Park, Rochester Hills
1400 E. Hamlin Road, Rochester Hills (south side of Hamlin between John R & Dequindre)
Known for its batting cages, soccer fields, and fireworks, Borden Park in Rochester Hills also has some great walking paths! Meet in the big parking lot at the Hamlin Road entrance. Park paths and sidewalks are paved and mostly flat, although we might check out some of the lesser-known wooded trails, too. Distance: 1 – 2 miles.
November 14, 5pm: Pembroke to Kresge, Troy
*Parking Update* Please park near 3331 W. Big Beaver (cross streets are Golfview & Big Beaver).
From Pembroke, we’ll make our way to historic Brooks Farm, now better known as the Kresge Foundation. This looping route takes us back a different way. Distance: 1.2 – 2.7 miles.
November 21, 5pm: Avondale Park, Rochester Hills
3400 Bathurst Ave., Rochester Hills (Bathurst is on the south side of Auburn between Crooks and Adams)
This pretty neighborhood park was recently renovated, let’s check it out! Part of the walk will follow paved, mostly flat paths, but some will have us exploring unpaved, grassy trails through the woods! Distance: 1-2 miles.
