Parking & Directions
The Troy Historic Village is located at 60 W Wattles Road, Troy MI 48098 (northwest corner of Wattles and Livernois). Main parking is in the larger west parking lot.
After you park, enter the front door of the main building (large, red brick building facing Wattles) to check in! There will be green and white signs to help guide your path.
What to Expect
This event is held rain, snow, or shine, so please dress for the weather! The scavenger hunt items are inside buildings, but you will need to walk outside to get from one building to another.
When you arrive, please check in inside the main building. Once you check in, you will be given a quick overview of the Village! We have a brand new scavenger hunt we can't wait for you to try! We will also have more information at check in like how to use our app to follow a self-guided tour, a map of the Village, and other things you don't want to miss.
It usually takes approximately one hour to walk through all the buildings on Village grounds. All sidewalks and ramps will be clear and salted. All buildings, besides the Log Cabin, are heated and will be nice and cozy despite the cold temperatures.
The Village is open from 10am - 3pm. Our last admission for Mid-Winter Break Open House is usually around 2:20pm so you have plenty of time to walk around the Village!
Frequently Asked Questions
- I missed my time slot! Can I still come to the Open House? Yes! Please do. The time slots are helpful to let us know how best to prepare for all of our guests. You are welcome to register online again for a different time slot, or you can register in person when you arrive.
- I registered online, but I have friends/family that want to join. We can get them checked in at the check in table inside the main building even if they don't get a chance to register online. The more the merrier!
- Can I bring a stroller or a wagon? Yes! We have a paved sidewalk throughout the Village. You are welcome to take the strollers and wagons inside the buildings (each one has a ramp entrance), and we ask that you are mindful about the spaces inside when driving the stroller or wagon through.
- Can I bring my dog? Only service animals are allowed at the Village. We strive to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable, so please leave your pets at home.
