Walking Group: April 2019 

*Note that April walks begin at 6:00 pm*

FREE Walking Group continues this spring! Join us on Thursdaysat 6:00 pmfor our weekly walking meet-up. Explore your community with a new route in or near Troy each week. All ages and levels of fitness are welcome.

Please note: in case of very inclement weather or icy terrain, we will meet and walk indoors at Somerset Mall in Troy. Sign up for weekly walking group information emails to receive notification of location change or cancellation (severe winter weather).

April 4, 6pm: Raintree Park

3775 John R. Road, Troy (on the west side of John R. between Big Beaver & Wattles)

It’s a walk in the woods! One of the five major Troy city parks, Raintree Park is half wooded and half open space. Paths are a mix of paved sidewalk and packed dirt trails. Distance: 1-2 miles.

April 11, 6pm: Dodge Park

40620 Utica Rd, Sterling Heights

There’s a lot to love about Dodge Park! Paved, rambling paths take us through the woods and along the river via the Clinton River Park Main Trail. Distance: 1.5-3 miles.

April 18, 6pm: Yates Trail

Park at Yates Cider Mill, 1900 E. Avon Road, Rochester

Come for the water wheel, stay for the walk! Join us for a trek on a lovely gravel trail following an old canal path in the woods just behind Yates Cider Mill. Distance: 2-3 miles.

April 25, 6pm: Quikstad Park

Park at Lexington/Marais parking lot, Royal Oak

Nature-lovers, this is the walk for you! Explore the wooded nature trails of Quikstad Park in Royal Oak. Distance: 1.5-3 miles.
