July 11, 6pm: Birmingham Museum & Parks
556 West Maple Road, Birmingham (park in Chester Street parking deck off Martin St.)
Meet in front of the Birmingham Historical Museum for a walk through the award-winning green space of Booth Park near the Rouge River and the Lower Baldwin Park path along Quarton Lake. History buffs, the museum has extended hours this evening—come early or stay late to tour the historic building and visit the Jacobson’s exhibit (museum admission: $7/adult, $5/senior or student). Our outdoor walk is free, as is parking in the Chester Street deck (up to 2 hours), but please note that you will need a credit/debit card to enter the parking structure in your vehicle.

July 18, 6pm: Troy Union Corners
Venus shopping plaza, northeast corner of Square Lake & Rochester Road in Troy
This week’s route features one hill, four lakes, and one of Troy’s oldest cemeteries, Union Corners. Meet at the Venus Plaza on the northeast corner of Square Lake & Rochester (that’s the one with Explore Yoga Studio, Shine Cafe, Credit Union ONE, etc.). We’ll head east along Square Lake and visit the cemetery, then do a loop through the Emerald Lakes subdivision.
Distance: 2.3 miles.
July 25, 6pm: Cranbrook Gardens
380 Lone Pine Road, Bloomfield Hills
Meet in front of historic Cranbrook House. From there, we’ll stroll through the Sunken Garden, discover a garden folly on The Mountain, and take a moment to unwind by the Reflecting Pool. Cranbrook Gardens also features extensive plantings, fountains, statuary, lakes and streams.
