Christmas in the Village Presented by Genisys Credit Union.

Oakland County Brassworks is a brass quintet made up of some of the finest musicians in Metro Detroit.  They perform music from a wide variety of genres, and have a particular interest in making live instrumental music accessible and engaging to everyone.  On November 28, OCB will delight Troy Historic Village guests with traditional holiday favorites, both sacred and secular.

The Christmas carol “Silent Night” was performed for the first time on December 24, 1818 at St. Nicholas’ Church near Salzburg, Austria. In 2018, we celebrate the song’s 200th anniversary with a three-part holiday concert series, featuring Christmas carols performed by incredibly talented local musicians. Performances last approximately one hour and are held inside heated (and decorated!) Old Troy Church. Purchase tickets in advance at 248-524-3570.
