Select Sundays, 12:00 – 4:00pm: July 9 (next open house is on August 13)
Spend a Sunday afternoon in the Village! Drop in with family or friends to visit the pioneer log cabin, one-room schoolhouse, historic print shop and more. Activities are also FREE: candle-making, fireside cooking, and blacksmithing demonstrations, as well as outdoor games for all ages. Travel the world with live music provided by Sean Blackman’s In Transit. Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy outside on the Green or simply take your afternoon constitutional through our scenic grounds. Join our monthly Constitution Café discussions in Old Troy Church at 2:00 pm. There is no fee to visit on Donation Open House Days or to participate in Constitution Cafés, but please consider rewarding this volunteer effort with a donation to the Troy Historical Society.
On July 9th, we are delighted that Nosh Pit Detroit, a highly acclaimed “do good, give back” food truck owned and operated by Troy residents Karen and Eric Schultz, will be parked and open for business at the Village during our Open House on Sunday, July 9. You won’t want to miss out on their tasty and nutritious soups, sandwiches, and sweets. Check out the menu online! Come hungry and ready to picnic on the Village green!
