Date: Thursday May 24
Time: 6:30 – 9:00 pm
Two Civil War programs in one! We start with the story of the 22nd Michigan Volunteer Infantry: author John Cohassey shares what daily life in this company was like for the soldiers—including a number of men from Troy—as well as the women who supported them from home. John will sell and sign copies of The 22nd Michigan and the Road to Chickamauga: A Civil War Narrative.
Music brought cheer and amusement to soldiers and civilians on both sides of the Mason-Dixon line. After intermission, enjoy square and contra dance tunes, jigs, reels and other popular songs of the 1860s, played on hammered dulcimer and fiddle by Jim and Loretta McKinney of the Golden Griffon Stringtet.
Price: $10/Troy Historical Society Member; $12/Non-Member. Advance registration required.
